CADD Glance

Computer Aided Design and Drafting, or better known as CADD, has been around since 1964, but its use is still limited to the mainframe. In 1982, becoming known CADD systems on one PC with software that has the name of AutoCAD. Now we have known until the release of AutoCAD 2007 software AutoCAD 2013 even with the capabilities and benefits of use within a large and wonderful that no longer form a 2D or 3D images that can not be drawn by this program AutoCAD.

In AutoCAD artifacts also called the AutoLISP programming language that allows us to develop their own software and AutoCAD can be used as a specific program, tailored to our needs and requirements.

CADD operator communicates with the computer through input devices such as keyboard, mouse, digitizer. other than that the other input can come from a scanner or a file with extension 3DS, DXF, DXB.

CADD software which we will discuss is AutoCAD, which the software has great flexibility. AutoCAD is used for specific applications only, such as architectural, mechanical, geodetic or machine, but AutoCAD has the ability to draw anything. If we want to create a dedicated software AutoCAD, we can add a "3rd Party Software", such as:

Autodesk Architectural Desktop for application architecture.

1.    AutoYatch for Desai boats and yachts (yatch).
2.    Site-Auto-Lite lighting calculations for the application.
3.    Autodesk Land Desktop for civil applications, mapping, and urban design.
4.    AutoCAD-MAP for GIS applications.
5.    SEW-CAD for fashion and textile applications.
6.    Autodesk Mechanical Desktop for mechanical applications.

With the software, we can further improve the productivity of work to the field of our work.

The things we need to know in using AutoCADD is the standard, both dimensions, labeling, and the format used. In use the standard issue is ignored. Once we establish relationships with other AutoCAD users, either inside or outside the country, then we will feel the importance of these standards.
